week 8.
this week tackles another major creative block: time. You will explore the ways in which you have used your perception of time to preclude taking creative risks. You will identify immediate and practical changes you can make in your current life. You will excavate the early conditioning that may have encouraged you to settle for far less than you desire creatively. - Julia Cameron

emotional reflections.
I’ve actually done so many new things this week. I tried new food, experimented with trying new clothes (even skinny low-waisted jeans, like who am I). This is actually quite refreshing, isn’t it. Last week’s chapter was the best, but this one has been pretty interesting too… I feel like this week I just needed this chapter. It was exactly what I needed to hear. Why should I go to the psychologist if i already have this book haha. It’s a joke, really do go to therapy:)
Actually, it is important what the chapter says. In summary, don’t wait for what you want but do it through action. Act and don’t make excuses for your artist child to block. Instead of asking yourself “Why me?” ask yourself “What’s next?”. Cool, right.
A few days before Scrap World (streetwear, fashion culture event in Madrid), though, I have to admit I was so very unmotivated plus I kept thinking I didn’t belong there. I saw other content creators being invited to the event and that just brought me down. The thing is, why does my head do that? Because, later on in Scrap, I had the best time. And it did the opposite. Motivate me to do more.
