key excercises.
I challenge you to find a view in your own city. Go for a solo walk, and when you see something beautiful, do not take a picture of it. Let it just be yours.
emotional reflections.
Until now, this chapter has been my favourite from afar. I think the four sections just had the most relatable content: listening, perfectionism, risk and jealousy. I’ve had so many video ideas reading this chapter too. Mainly about perfectionism but, omg, what a great idea I’ve just came up with. So, one of the questions that Cameron proposes in the chapter is the following: What would I do if I didn’t have to do it perfectly? OMG This is just fascinating. So, the interesting thing about this is that every single one of us has gave up some kind of activity that used to love earlier apart from stuff that has always been pendant for you; that you would love to try. One of mine is trying a popping class. For context, popping is one type of street dance style that is characterized by sudden, rhythmic contraction and relaxation of muscles (a “pop”) to funk or hip-hop music. Well, I’ve been doing ballet and hip hop for my whole life and one of my favorite styles is popping. I’ve learned a few things but never tried a specific popping workshop ever. So, I need to go to one and record my experience. I’ve actually just sent a message to a popping teacher to ask if he is teaching class in Vigo or in Madrid anytime soon. Please Dani, say yes. I’ve done this after reading chapter 7. I think this is living proof that this book is a great tool to understand about creative process and blocks.
